CORGI PROFILE
Corgi was launched in 1953 as Transworld’s first imprint, publishing paperbacks exclusively. Corgi became known initially for publishing Westerns as well as acquiring UK publishing rights for seminal books such as Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita and Joseph Heller’s Catch 22. Corgi soon added names such as Catherine Cookson, Frederick Forsyth, Jilly Cooper and Danielle Steel to its list. Corgi is also the publisher of one of the most successful books of recent years, Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code.
